Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Bam-Bam is looking forward to the trick-or-treaters coming to the house, where he will no doubt bark at them! It's been busy at our house the last couple of days. Howl-o-ween!

The Kansas City October pug meet-up was the halloween party. Bam-Bam and Kona both had a good time. Bam-Bam went as a pumpkin this year and Kona as an alligator. September Kansas City Pug Meetup

We took Bam-Bam to the pug meetup this past weekend, it's the first he's been to in quite awhile. We also took Kona along, this was Kona first meetup. We brought him along because there aren't any yorkie meetups in our area and we thought it would do him some good to play with other dogs besides Bam-Bam. ....More ..

Kona vs. Milo

None of the kittens, except the orange kitten Milo, like Kona very much. In fact they turn into halloween cats whenever he comes around. Perhaps it has something to do with Kona trying to dominate the kitties whenever they are around. Milo on the other hand, is very playful and loves to wrestle around with Kona. ....More ..

Sleepy Pug

Every now and then Bam-Bam does something that is just too adorable. This was one of those moments. Chris and I caught him sleeping on the couch using a pillow. Sometimes I think Bam-Bam thinks he's more of a person than a dog. ....More ..

Hurricane Bam-Bam

Well summer has been in full swing here in the midwest, with the last couple of days going over 100 degrees. The dogs have grown restless since they haven't been able to go outside and play or go for a walk, they just overheat way to easily. Kona Update

Kona has been in our family for 7 months now, he'll be turning 1 in October. He's not the little 1.3 lb. puppy he was when we first brought him home in December, he's now almost up to a whooping 4 lbs.! His hair is much longer now and it's much easier to put the hair on the top of his head into a top knot. ....More ..

Roadtrip!

Sorry I have not updated Bam-Bam's blog lately. I've been very busy this summer, but I'll try to catch up on some of the things that have been going on with Bam-Bam and Kona. Caught mid shake

Kitten Update

Well the kittens are over a month old now and have gotten a lot bigger and a lot less helpless. We introduced the kittens to Bam-Bam so they could get used to each other. New Furniture

We recently got a new living room furniture set. Here is Bam-Bam testing out the new loveseat. I think he approves, he really likes the color. We like it too, it doesn't show puggy hairs as much as the old couch did. ....More ..

St. Paddy's Day Kittens!

A couple of months ago a very hungry and skinny little cat came to our home. We took pity on her and gave her some food. At first she was afraid and wouldn't come near us but the need for food over took her fear of people and over some time she began to trust us and even let us pet her. Pug Acne Update

Well Bam-Bam's pug zits seem to be clearing up. We've been cleaning out his face and wrinkles with baby wipes. He doesn't seem to like this, or thinks we are playing with him because somehow the baby wipe ends up in his mouth 75% of the time. I've been leary to put anything else on his face, I didn't know if it would hurt him or not if he licked ....More ..

Pug Acne

Poor Bam-Bam has the worst case of Pug acne. The horrible huge pug zits inflict his cute little muzzle and they take forever to heel up. I mentioned it to the vet a couple of weeks ago when Kona was getting his shots and the vet said that dogs can get acne just like us humans do and he suggested using stridex. ....More ..

A Naughty Pug

Sometimes I think Bam-Bam is too smart for his own good. He really likes to eat Kona's puppy food, but it is not good for him because it's fattening. So what does Bam-Bam do? He sticks his paw into Kona's kennel and keeps pawing at the food until it spills and he can eat it! ....More ..

Playtime!

Bam-Bam and Kona like to play chase and wrestle around with each other. It gets to be quite a wild time for the two of them and its a good way to get some exercise when its too cold to take them outside. ....More ..

Braving the cold weather...

Today was a rather nasty day, weather wise anyway. It sleeted and froze rain all weekend. Bam-Bam and Kona were nice and cozy today though. I put Bam-Bam into his ugly reindeer sweater and he settled in for a long winters nap. ....More ..

Our trip to Hawaii!

Chris and I had a great time in Hawaii this past month. The weather was perfect and sunny and the average temperature was about 75 degrees. If it wasn't for Bammie, I don't think I would have wanted to come home. Bam-Bam was in good hands while we were gone, he got to stay with Linda who is his obedience trainer. ....More ..

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone of Bam-Bam's readers had a wonderful holiday. Bam-Bam sure did, he got what he wanted for Christmas. He got a new baby brother! This little guy is Kona, we named him after the city we stayed at in Hawaii. Kona is a 10 week old Yorkshire Terrier puppy. Bam-Bam vs. The Turtle

We had a turtle in our yard the other day and Bam-Bam didn't know what to think about it. He circled it a couple of times and barked. The turtle just retreated into his shell and waited it out. In the end the turtle won the battle, Bam-Bam lost interest and the turtle took the opportunity to sneak away. ....More ..

We recently got Bam-Bam a palm tree chew toy that had a stringy ball on the base of it. He had a lot of fun with it, especially when he managed to detach the stringy ball from the toy and scatter its contents across the living room floor. Our Dilemma

I usually don't have a problem with garter snakes, but then again I haven't had a problem with garter snakes trying to eat my frogs in the past. Stargazing

Stargazers are my favorite kind of lily so I planted a couple of bulbs. They finally bloomed and turned out to be quite beautiful. Bam-Bam was pretty impressed as well, and had to take a wiff of the pretty flower. He ended up getting a little pollen on his nose but it was worth it! ....More ..

Eating a Carrot

For some weird reason Bam-Bam likes to eat carrots. I was dicing up carrots last night for dinner and Bam-Bam was right at my feet like he always is when I'm cooking always on the look out for dropped food.
