I am feeling a lot better after a one-week bout with some upper respiratory bug that was going around the island.
That is why I didn’t write last week and why you didn’t see me much on IRememberLove.com. I was sick in bed.

So many of you sent emails chastising me for letting Maui go so long without a haircut that my assistant Crystal thought I should explain the “why.”

Her hair was matted (even though I bathe her regularly) and Allison, her groomer, was a little worried that Maui would . ....

Wow - thank you for all of your good thoughts for Maui’s health and well-being in the last few days. Within a few hours after sending that email, she visibly perked up.

Maui was due for a check up this week, so we went in yesterday. The vet checked her over and was happy to report that she seemed to be doing well despite her “senior” moments.
To make sure all was perfect he decided to take some blood.
